Those Were the Days...

Here's some reminiscences from a selection of our first few gigs.

July 22nd, That's It Antique Bar - Wow! Were we happy with that night. It was our first shot out of the box, and we packed the place and kept it full all night. Know what it's like when you've worked it hard for months and you're about to see, for the first time, if it works in front of an audience?

They wrote really nice stuff about us in the TGIF section of Florida Today the following Friday. So, what are the chances that we're not going to direct you to a copy of the review? Cool-io-meter: Super Green.

August 18th, That's It Antique Bar - This was something of a trial by fire for us, because we were appearing for the first time as a four piece and hadn't had much time to rehearse as such. Matt played like he had somethin' to prove, and reports are he proved it!

The joint was jumpin'. It was a Friday night, so there was an early crowd there- and they were a fun-lovin' bunch. "Laid back" this wasn't. Cool-io-meter: Red Hot!

August 26th, Best Western - We did a surprise birthday party for Jay's former employer- the young lady, who's an important mover and shaker in the hotel business in Orlando, turned 70. You shoulda seen her move and shake! Boy, was she a card!

We had alot of fun, and free food. Cool-io-meter: Mello Yello.

September 1st, Reilly's Lantern Pub - This was our first gig up Orlando way, and we played like we wanted quite badly to be regulars there. We were immediately booked for a couple more gigs.

Fun crowd! They seemed to like our crunchier stuff, being something of a "Smoke on the Water" bunch. Cool-io-meter: Deep Purple.
